Threod Systems is pleased to announce its’ participation in UMEX 2020 exhibition, taking place in ADNEC Centre, Abu Dhabi, from 23rd to 25th of February. It is the 4th edition of the unmanned systems exhibition and conference dedicated to unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), robotics, components, drones, and more.

The Estonian Rescue Board’s Järva County Rescue Team, Ambulance, Police and Border Guard Board, Environmental Inspectorate, Defense League and EST-SAR joint exercise took place in Nurmsi, Estonia. The scenario was to respond to an incident involving emergency landing of an AN-2 aircraft and 5 skydivers. The aim was to involve as many parties and equipment as possible to evaluate the readiness and cooperation to deal with a high complexity event.

Recently, Threod Systems representatives, took part in the closing conference of the GOF U-Space project organized by EANS. Based on seven demo flights conducted during the summer of 2019, it was established that for aviation safety the cooperation between drone pilots, developers of unmanned systems, state representatives and ATM operators is crucial.

For the first time in history a drone flew from Estonia to Finland over the Gulf of Finland. As a part of the SEASAR GOF U-space demonstration trials Threod Systems Stream UAV flew over the gulf and landed in Torbacka, Finland.

Threod Systems took part in the Ämari air show 2019. The show also marked the 100th anniversary of the Estonian Air Force’s foundation. Quadcopter Titan performed a demonstration flight among 30 other aircrafts presented at the show.

Threod Systems hosted the design master class closing ceremony. The design master class outcomes and winners were announced. Participants presented their final development ideas and prototypes.

Estonian Aviation Academy students visited Threod Systems as a part of their educational program. 26 students from Communication, Navigation and Surveillance (CNS) and Technical Aircraft Maintenance (TECH) programs had been hosted at Threods facilities.

Traditionally Threod Systems participated in Spring Storm 2019. A large-scale live exercise of the Estonian Defence Forces (EDF), with participation from NATO’s enhanced Forward Presence and other Allied forces.

Stream C UAV performed at Artillery Battalion Live-fire exercise to support Artillery Battalion soldiers that practiced shooting 155mm howitzers from multiple firing positions. Stream C UAV supported the Forward Observers training. The UAV system identified targets, adjusted fire and ran battle damage assessment after every successful fire mission.

Threods’ training and flight operations team conducted the level I EOS mini-UAV technician training. Firefighters from the 1st Disaster Response Special Unit (Hellenic Fire Service – HFS, Greece) successfully passed the course and are now certified specialist.

Threod Systems participates in the EW Live 2019. It is a three day live electronic warfare equipment demonstration event. Held at Tartu Airport showcasing a cycle of EW operating technologies.

This year marks the 70th anniversary of the creation of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Moreover, it is the 15th anniversary of Estonia joining NATO. To celebrate the anniversary, the Estonian Atlantic Treaty Association, in cooperation with NATO Headquarters, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Education and Research, organized a public charity event.

Threod Systems participates in AUVSI XPONENTIAL exhibition in Chicago, Illinois, USA. The event takes place from 30th of April to 2nd of May. If you happen to take part in the event, we welcome you meet us at our stand 3636.

Threod Systems contributed to the cyber defense exercise Crossed Swords 2019, organized by NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE) and CERT.LV in Tallinn, Estonia. Technical experts, members of national Cyber Commands and special forces operators participated in the event. The exercise focused on advancing cyber Red Team members skills in preventing, detecting and responding to full-scale cyber operations. Additionally, this year the Cyber Command of the Estonian Defence Forces provided the command component.

Threod Systems is pleased to be a part of the Design Master Class. It is a project by Estonian Design Center and Enterprise Estonia (EAS).

This year is going to be a game changer for Threod Systems. We are about to present our latest development STREAM C UAV VTOL concept at IDEX 2019 in Abu Dhabi.

For 4 weeks from mid-November to mid-December British Army organized an international warfighting experiment. The Experiment for 2018 was named Exercise Autonomous Warrior (Land). The exercise was held on the Salisbury Plain and the British Army Battleground. It brought together high-tech industry leaders in Robotic and Autonomous Systems (RAS).

This week Threod Systems participated in the Estonian Defence Industry Introduction Day. The aim of the event was to introduce companies engaged in the defence industry to Estonian Defence Forces, Ministry of Defence, Ministry of the Interior, Police and Border Guard Board, Centre for Defence Investment.

Threod Systems is participating in Robotex 2018, which is held in Estonia for the 18th time in a row and is the biggest event of its kind in the world. It brings together best engineers, high-tech companies, freelance geniuses that present their brilliant breakthroughs in robotics. We are proud to be a part of it and we definitely have something to show.

Baltic Miltech Summit is held in Lithuania and is dedicated to military technologies and new trends in defence industry in the Baltics and around the world. It brings together high-level political and legal figures, representatives of defence industry companies and bright minds from high-tech startups in order to generate new ideas and discuss the emerging trends.

Threod Systems recently signed a partnership agreement with Qatari company Thawab Hunting Equipment & Arms Maintenance, that promotes Threod Systems products and services in the region.

The Africa Aerospace and Defence (AAD) is one of the largest Africa’s aerospace and defence expo that combines both a trade exhibition and an air show, taking place at the Air Force Base Waterkloof, South Africa.

A Seminar „Export Day“ was held on the 30th of August, organized by the Federation of Estonian Engineering Industry together with the Innovative Manufacturing Engineering Systems Competence Centre (IMECC).

On July 25, 2018, a Ukrainian delegation, led by the Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Mr. Petro Tsygykal, visited Threod Systems’ facilities. The delegation was accompanied by the representatives from the Estonian Police and Border Guard Board.

Eurosatory is one of the biggest shows in the region gathering defence industries from all around the world. Threod Systems is presenting a range of UAVs, gimbals and subsystems at Eurosatory 2018 in Paris.

We are happy to announce that Threod Systems is participating in Eurosatory 2018. We are bringing our newest developments to the exhibition and we’ve been busy since since Eurosatory 2016!

Threod Systems was a proud supporter of the cyber defence exercise Locked Shields 2018 organized by NATO CCDCOE in Tallinn. Threods simulators were used to imitate UAV-s in very complex cyber environment. Over 1000 specialists from over 30 countries were competing each other to defend their imitated infrastructure units. Teams had to run up to 150 systems and defend them against any cyber attacks.

As part of the Estonian Defence Industry Association (EDIA), Threod Systems was invited to showcase its comprenhensive line of fixed wing and multi-rotor UAVs to domestic and international governmental military organizations.

Threod Systems conducted successful flights to support artillery unit in Estonia. FDC got the chance to see live imagery from the EOS mini-UAV for coordinate reference and correction.

Threod Systems is a co-exhibitor of Estonian national stand at UMEX 2018 taking place in Abu Dhabi. UMEX is the leading exhibition of unmanned systems of the world. Worlds most valuable players amongst unmanned system developers are gathered at the show to show their last improvements.

Recently Threod participated in multiple tenders, one of the projects was the mini EOS UAS production for security services procurement. One of the success factors, that Threod offered to the customer, was fast product modification possibility.
